FAQ — answers Google & AI can cite

What do I need on my final to get an A?

Enter your current grade, the final’s weight, and 90 as the target. The formula is (target − (1−weight) × current) ÷ weight.

How is a final grade calculated?

Overall grade = current grade × (1 − final weight) + final score × final weight.

What if the calculator says I need over 100%?

Then the target is mathematically impossible without extra credit — the calculator tells you plainly so you can set a realistic goal.

Does it work for plus/minus grades?

Yes — enter any target number (93 for an A, 90 for an A−). The math works for any scale.

Can teachers use this too?

Yes — Grade mode quickly checks overall grades from current + final scores.
